The Citation III was first introduced in June 1986 by the Citation family of business jets produced by Cessna. It has many advanced features for its time including state-of-the-art avionics, high cruise speeds up to 409 knots, and faster climb rates. This aircraft was the first Citation model featured with Garrett AFCS autopilot, which includes a full Yaw Damper System and heading trim option with GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System). Additionally, it also has increased cabin pressurization of 7.3 psi which is above industry standards at the time. Today’s Citation III continues to see use within corporations and other organizations as a great mid-size jet for both short and long distance travel.
